Tips From the Insiders
Now I know why you are as successful as you are. You stay in touch with the people you meet! I have an idea to add to your list of tips for travelers. While we were in Las Vegas there was a man sitting in DEMA trying to figure a way to get cash for his taxi ride to the airport. He had forgotten his PIN for his cash advance account through his credit card company. When he called the credit card company he also found out that he had not activated that account. So my suggestion for travelers is to activate their cash advance account and
keep the PIN somewhere on them. Also, it would be a good idea to make a copy of the front and back of the credit cards and put in a safe place. The back of the credit cards usually have the phone numbers needed for contacting in case of lost cards or cash needs.
Thank you for staying in touch.

Almost 2 years ago I closed my Carlson Wagonlit Associate agency
and after staying 3 weeks with the agency I was supposed to merge
with, I took my Worldspan Contract and my clients list and reopened
Principal Travel Company in my home. This was the best decision
I ever made. Keeping the same phone number and fax number I have
had since 1988, I just took the calls I always did in the retail
location, advertised with the same suppliers and have been much
more successful than I was when I had a retail location. I answer
calls from 10a-10pm 7days a week. I get the clients who are working
during the day and call in the evening when the Retail Agencies
in Atlanta are closed. Doing this I have been able to maintain
my Funjet Vacations 500 Club status, even though I am just 1 person
working at home. (500 Club means you booked 500 or more passengers
on The Mark Travel Corporation Products in the last year.) I have
also booked such products as Carnival Cruiselines (24 Passengers),
Apple Vacations (36 Passengers), Trafalgar Tours, Vacation Express
and so on. I booked closed to $500,000 worth of business ( It
should have been more, but I am not as busy as I would like to
be) I feel if I was getting as many calls a I would like I could
book 1.5 Million easily. My average commission is about 13 percent,
so I am making more than I ever did with my retail business. I
feel I am more productive at home, since I don't have the distractions
of walk-ins looking for airline tickets or free advice. I just
concentrate on my niche with The Mark Travel Corporation Products,
Carnival, and other Caribbean, Las Vegas and Hawaii suppliers
with a touch of Europe.
I encourage anyone with a strong work ethic, extensive product
knowledge and good relationships with their suppliers to drop
their ARC Appointment and concentrate on Tours and Cruises as
I have.

Hello,
I am really enjoying my copy of your book...actually, I read
it as soon as I received it... and have re-read parts several
times.... I have a success story ..... my clients were going to
Nassau on a budget. I arranged an Apple Vacation at a property
they could afford.... wrote YOUR LETTER [or better still, waved
the "letter wand".... ] and just heard today, they were upgraded
to Ocean Front... others on the flight with the same package,
looked out at the pool... and my clients SAW THE SEA!!! I will
always use the "letter wand".... they now think I am a Queen!
Thank you again... I am looking forward to a live seminar in the
east.... Thank you again,
Maureen Eschbacher
